All about Meighen

Meighen Elizabeth Alana Richard was born June 29, 2008 around 8:00 am weighing in at 8 lbs 9 oz and 20.5 inches. After 45 hours of induction, 20 hours of labour and 2 hours of surgery our little Meighen is here and we’re thrilled she’s healthy and beautiful.

Her name was Mummy’s idea – I always liked Meighen Elizabeth. The idea of spelling Meighen this way came from a friends sister. Thats how her name was spelled. The significance of Alana came from “Alan” – my father and father-in-law (who passed away in 2007).

Grammy: Meggy is missed by Grammy. I am looking forward to time with Meg and Jessica the week of August 23rd. We will make a mini-holiday of it. I love the pics you send and Meg looks so proud of her stacking lupin pots.
mom: Had a good visit with all the other weekend. am looking forward to the next visits in August. Meg is so wise, thoughtful, inquisitive and just the best all round little girl. however I do miss my snuggle time from whem she was little.

Mom: Had a good visit with Jessica and Meighen the past four days. Meighen has changed so much in the past month. She has realized that she can tease Nelson and get him going something fierce, which brings a smile to her face. I took a pic of Meighen actually crying, mommy was taking too long to get her food. I sent the pic to some showing that "Meighen doesn't smile ALL THE TIME". anyway, good visit and looking forward to our next visit. time will come when the visits will be shorter when Jess gets back to work.
